San Francisco Apr 2009 Bootcamp

Learn the essentials you need to build your Plone site and deploy it. This course is the most popular in the Plone world--for a good reason: it teaches you practical skills in a friendly, hands-on format. Updated for Plone 3.0 and 3.1, while still offering the core skills required for all versions of Plone.

This bootcamp is offered to the general public, and is aimed at:

  • people with HTML or web design experience
  • people with some or no Python experience
  • people with some or no Zope/Plone experience

This is a hands-on, interactive class. You will need a laptop running Plone (we'll provide setup instructions for you).

It covers using Plone, customizing, and deploying Plone sites. You can read more information about the Prerequisites and Agenda.

This course will use Plone 3, and is appropriate for both people new to Plone, and with experience with older versions of Plone. While we will use Plone 3 as our hands-on version, almost all of the material will also be very useful for users of Plone 2.5 and earlier versions.

To read the rave reviews earned by our earlier bootcamps, you can read Raves.
