Symposium East: Successful Content Management With Plone

This special, 2-day class covers: a clear understanding of what Plone is and how to use it, as well as tips and practices for content management. A special focus will be paid on "lessons learned" from an experienced site builder.

Is your organization using Plone, and you want to learn to use it? Or are you evaluating Plone, and want to learn exactly what it can do? This course teaches how to add, edit, and manage content in Plone, and demonstrates how easy and flexible this can be. This friendly, 2-day course, aimed at non-developers, does not require any knowledge of HTML or Plone.

Audience:

  • Content managers
  • Editors
  • Decision makers and evaluators
  • Support staff

This special, 2-day class is being offered to complement the Plone Symposium East and is being held in the same location so many of the course participants will be fellow conference attendees. The course will run from about 9:00 am to 4:30pm.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable using a web browser and navigating the web.
  • HTML is not required, though some basic web page familiarity will be helpful.
  • This is a hands-on class. Each student should bring a laptop for class.
