About the Trainer
Chris Calloway is an applications analyst for University of North Carolina Department of Marine Sciences
and a member of the Plone Foundation. Chris is the instructor for PyCamp
and has organized many boot camps and sprints for TriZPUG. Chris has
been developing in Python for nine years and has 29 years of of IT
experience, primarily with IBM. Chris has previously developed and
taught 40 hour courses about Java technology.
Audience
This course is appropriate for:
- Plone site builders/integrators
- People who want to use Python within Plone (or outside of Plone)
- People who have used "scripting languages" like PHP
- People who have no experience with scripting or programming at all
Requirements
This course assumes some Plone experience such as administering a Plone site through the ZMI or theming a Plone site.
This is a hands-on class. You will want, if possible, to bring a laptop with Plone installed (students will receive simple step-by-step instructions on how to set up their Plone site for class).
